چکیده
Abstract The water distribution system serves as a basic necessity for society. Due to its large size and involvement of various components, it is one the most expensive civil infrastructures thus demands optimization. Much work has been done reduce cost. However, with only objective, obtained solutions may not be practical implement. Thus, improving cost along efficiency network demand hour. present introduces unique parameter-less methodology generating Pareto fronts without involving concept non-dominance. incorporates Jaya optimization model bi-objective problem, being reduction in other reliability index network. proposed analyzed three different benchmark problems. technique found very efficient fast when compared evolutionary applied same networks. nature smooths process extent no synchronization algorithm parameters required.

Optimization of Water Distribution Networks
The paper approaches the optimization of water distribution networks supplied from one or more node sources, according to demand variation. Traditionally, in pipe optimization, the objective function is always focused on the cost criteria of network components. In this study an improved linear model is developed, which has the advantage of using not only cost criteria, but also energy consumpti...
متن کاملMulti-objective Grasshopper Optimization Algorithm based Reconfiguration of Distribution Networks
Network reconfiguration is a nonlinear optimization procedure which calculates a radial structure to optimize the power losses and improve the network reliability index while meeting practical constraints. In this paper, a multi-objective framework is proposed for optimal network reconfiguration with the objective functions of minimization of power losses and improvement of reliability index. T...

In cyber-physical systems, communications, computing, and information about the system's requirements and operational state are used to streamline and fortify physical operations. Techniques exist for assessment, modeling, and simulation of physical and cyber infrastructures, respectively, but such isolated analysis is incapable of fully capturing the interdependencies that occur when they inte...
متن کاملMultiobjective Robust Optimization of Water Distribution Networks
Due to its practical importance and inherent complexity, the optimization of distribution networks for supplying drinking water has been the subject of extensive study for the past 30 years. The optimization is governed by sizing the pipes in the water distribution network (WDN). The pipe diameters are to be selected from a list of available commercial diameters, making WDN optimization a pure ...
